| Q.
How many hours do I need to get a real estate license?
A. You will need the equivalent
of 120 classroom hours, if you have earned the appropriate number
of college credits. If you have not earned the appropriate number
of college credits, you will need to complete the equivalent of
180 classroom hours. Please call us at (866)600-PDES for assistance
in determining if you have the appropriate college credit.
Q. What are courses am I required to complete
to get a real estate license?
A. The mandatory courses that
every licensee must complete are: 60 hours in Principles (Principles
I – 30 hours and Principles II – 30 hours), 30 hours
in Law of Agency, and 30 hours in Law of Contracts. These four courses
equal a total of 120 hours. If you are required to complete 180
hours, the courses required include the mandatory courses listed
above, plus an additional 60 hours in Core and/or related courses.
The additional courses that we recommend are: Math I (30 hours)
and Finance I (30 hours). These courses are recommended because
these subjects will be covered on the state exam.
